The Greatest Showman
Inspired by the life of Connecticut's greatest showman Phineas T. Barnum the movie "The Greatest Showman" will be shown at the Library with a discussion led by Seymour's own Town Historian Marion O'Keefe.
Barnum in life was much more than what the Broadwayshow and movie refers to. It was said at the time of his death in 1891 by The Washington Post newspaper that he was "the most widely known American that ever lived,"
Mrs. O'Keefe works at the Barnum Museum in Bridgeport and knows the life of Barnum intimately and will no doubt lead a lively discussion of what Hollywood got right and what Hollywood got very wrong in the movie.
